This privacy statement explains how we handle your personal data when you join the Vyvi waitlist, receive our newsletter, or use this website. It applies to the waitlist and marketing website only. A separate, fuller privacy statement will apply to the Vyvi app when it launches.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Vyvi is currently operated by Inga Petersen, trading as IP Bedrijfsadvies (Chamber of Commerce / KvK no. 98153269), based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (referred to as "Vyvi", "we", "us").

You can reach us about your data at: privacy@vyvi.io.

We are planning to transfer the Vyvi business to a newly incorporated Dutch private limited company (B.V.) in due course. If that happens, that company will take over as the party responsible for your data, and we will update this statement and let you know.

2. What data we collect

When you sign up on our website, we collect:

your email address; and

Signing up adds you to our beta waitlist and to our newsletter (see section 3). You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not ask for or collect any health data on this website. You only give us health-related information later, and only if you choose to join the app.

If you email us, we also process the contents of your message and your contact details.

For website statistics, we use privacy-friendly tools that do not use cookies and do not collect any data that identifies you (see section 8).

You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 7). Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before you withdrew. Every newsletter and update we send includes an unsubscribe link.

4. Who can see your data

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:

MailerLite, our email and newsletter provider, which stores your contact details and sends our emails;
mijndomein.nl, which provides our domain and email hosting;
Framer, which hosts and serves this website (including its cookieless built-in statistics); and
Simple Analytics, our website statistics provider.

All of these providers process your data within the European Economic Area. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone else, except where we are legally required to.

Where a provider processes personal data on our behalf, we put a data processing agreement in place with them, as required under the AVG (GDPR).

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your email address for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you straight away and keep only a minimal record of your address so we can honour your choice not to be contacted. If you have not opened our emails for a long period, or if you ask us to delete you entirely, we remove your details.

Your place on the beta waitlist is a status on your subscription, not separate data. Once the beta selection is complete, the waitlist status no longer applies, but we keep your email address while you remain subscribed.

If you contact us, we keep our email correspondence in our archive for our records, for reference, and in case we need it for a dispute or to meet a legal obligation. We keep it for as long as that remains reasonable.

6. How we protect your data

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls and working only with providers that offer suitable security.

7. Your rights

Under the AVG (GDPR) you have the right to:

ask for a copy of the data we hold about you;
have inaccurate data corrected;
have your data deleted;
restrict or object to how we use your data;
receive your data in a portable format; and
withdraw your consent at any time.

To use any of these rights, email us at privacy@vyvi.io. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can contact us, and you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

8. Cookies and website statistics

This website is kept deliberately simple when it comes to tracking.

Essential cookies. We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to make the website work and keep it secure. These do not require your consent.

Website statistics. We use Framer's built-in analytics and Simple Analytics to understand how our website is used, for example how many people visit, where they come from, and whether they sign up. Both are privacy-friendly by design: they do not use cookies, do not store IP addresses or other data that identifies you, and process data within the EU. Because no personal data is collected, we do not need to ask for your consent for this, and you will not see a cookie banner.

No advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing trackers on this website. If we ever add a tool that does set non-essential cookies, we will add a cookie banner and ask for your consent first.

You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
